Segway has officially opened pre-orders for its highly anticipated Ninebot Max G3 scooter, promising a host of enhancements that elevate it beyond its predecessor, the Max G2.
With a powerful 2,000-watt motor, the new model achieves a top speed of 28 mph (45 km/h), a notable leap from the G2’s previous 22 mph (35 km/h). This impressive acceleration results in a swift 0-15 mph (25 km/h) time of just 2.4 seconds, making the G3 an enticing option for speed enthusiasts.
Range is another key highlight; the G3 boasts a remarkable distance of up to 50 miles (80 km) on a single charge, thanks to Segway’s SegRange optimization technology.
Priced at $899.99 for pre-orders before rising to $1,399.99,
Should riders deplete the 597 Wh battery, a standard charging time of 3.5 hours allows for a quick turnaround, with an optional fast charger reducing it to merely 2.5 hours.
To enhance stability and comfort, Segway has equipped the G3 with dual hydraulic suspension and introduced the SegRide stability enhancement system, designed to ensure a smooth ride even at higher speeds.
Dynamic Traction Control further supports safe riding by helping maintain grip during acceleration, while dual-piston disc brakes front and rear—complete with an anti-lock braking system (ABS)—safeguard against skidding during stops.
The Ninebot Max G3 also features a state-of-the-art 2.4-inch TFT smart display that offers turn-by-turn navigation, ride stats, and mobile notifications, complemented by AirLock autonomous unlocking for keyless entry.
In terms of safety and visibility, the scooter comes with a 360-degree lighting system, including three-times brighter automatic headlights and synchronized underglow lighting.
Priced at $899.99 for pre-orders before rising to $1,399.99, the Ninebot Max G3 could mark a significant upgrade for urban commuters looking for both performance and style. With deliveries expected to begin at the end of March, interested buyers are encouraged to secure their pre-orders by March 24.
