XDefiant has not had a smooth launch. Last Tuesday, Ubisoft‘s free to play shooter finally hit the shelves on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. However, on the same release day, the game encountered several server issues, which affected matchmaking in matches.
Mark Rubin, executive producer of XDefiant, confirmed the existence of these issues through his X profile. In his post, Rubin joked that the servers were going to explode and also clarified that they were working on it to fix it.
The official XDefiant account on X also alluded to the problems the shooter was facing, and players responded with numerous screenshots claiming that it was impossible for them to find someone to play with.
XDefiant is a 6v6 shooter that includes characters from numerous Ubisoft intellectual properties, such as Ghost Recon, Watch Dogs and The Division. Initially, its release was scheduled for October 2023, but it was indefinitely delayed until March. However, its release did not happen until Tuesday, May 21st.
