Today, Wednesday, September 13, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Purple players have a must-play date: the release of The Teal Mask, the game’s first downloadable content. Once you get hold of it, you may be struck by one aspect: the DLC doesn’t start and you don’t know how to do it. Don’t worry, it has a certain trick.

To be able to enjoy all the content of The Teal Mask, you simply need to have completed the “Treasure Hunt” mission in the base game. Once you have done it, the professor will call you to invite you to travel to the region of Noroteo. And yes, indeed, this is the place where the entire plot of this Pokémon DLC takes place.

So all you have to do is follow the professor’s instructions… and enjoy the adventures offered by this DLC!

The first of two

The Turquoise Mask is the first downloadable content of the two that will be available. The second will be called The Indigo Disc and will be released this coming winter (of 2023, yes). Both DLCs appear bundled together under an expansion pack called The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, which is available for €34.99. In other words: buying the latter will give you access to the two DLCs.

This first DLC will allow us to engage in battles against the Cranberry League, discover new locations and have new creatures, such as Okidogi, Munkidori and Fezandipiti, plus the arrival of the Legendary Pokémon Ogerpon. Added to this are many Pokémon from previous generations that we will be able to use again, such as Vulpix, Ninetails, Yanma, Yanmega, Shiftry, Chingling, Chimecho, Vikavolt, Sentret, Furret or Hoothoot, among many others. In total, there are more than 230 creatures from previous generations that will come between the two DLCs.
