Spotify has some exciting news for its Premium subscribers who love a good audiobook. Starting on October 4, users in the UK and Australia will have access to an extensive library of over 150,000 audiobooks at no extra cost. The “free” on the title is an indicator that you will not pay an “extra fee” for the audiobooks only if you are already paying for a premium subscription. A similar benefit will be available to US members later this year. If you need more time, you may purchase an additional 10 hours for $11.

Spotify Premium Audiobooks are here with an extended library

Spotify unveiled its audiobook initiative last year, allowing customers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand to explore the world of audiobooks. Today, Spotify goes a step further by including over 150,000 audiobooks with the Premium membership. Premium solo users, as well as Family and Duo account managers, receive 15 hours of listening time each month to explore these titles.

This implies that Premium subscribers are receiving even more bang for their buck. They now have access to a massive music database of over 100 million tracks and 5 million podcasts, as well as a growing library of 150,000 audiobooks. This functionality is already available to Premium customers in the United Kingdom and Australia, and it will be available to US users later this year.

It is a known fact that Spotify wants to be more than just a music streaming platform. The company executives have mentioned this a couple of times in the past, and these kinds of initiatives show how keen they are on making Spotify one of the biggest applications and brands in the world.

How to find Spotify Premium Audiobooks

It’s simple to find audiobooks on Spotify Premium. Any audiobook tagged “Included in Premium” is included in the Premium library, which is one of the most extensive among audiobook streaming providers. This catalog includes works from major publishers such as Hachette, HarperCollins Publishers, Macmillan, Penguin Random House, Simon & Schuster, and RB Media, as well as titles from indie writers and publishers such as Bolinda, Dreamscape, and Pushkin.

To start listening, just search for the title you want or explore recommendations on the Home feed or in the audiobook hub, where you’ll find a selection of top titles.

With 15 hours of monthly listening, you may listen to audiobooks at your own speed. You have the option of exploring various titles or delving deeply into one tale. If you exhaust your 15 hours, you can purchase an additional 10 hours for a charge. The in-app settings make it simple to check your remaining hours.

Remember that you must have a Premium individual account or be the plan manager for a Family or Duo account to use this function. Spotify is planning to broaden access in the future.

Spotify is accessible on over 2,000 devices from over 200 different manufacturers, and Premium audiobook customers may download audiobooks for offline listening. The Sleep Timer enables a seamless transition from consciousness to sleep, and the automatic bookmarking feature maintains your location. More information can be found here.
