Tesla’s sales in Europe have taken a staggering hit, particularly in Germany, where deliveries plunged 76% in February compared to the same month last year.
The electric vehicle manufacturer managed to deliver only 1,429 vehicles in Germany this February, down from over 6,000 in February 2024.
This sharp decline represents a broader trend, with total deliveries in Germany down 70% for the year, marking a significant challenge for Tesla in its largest European market.

Reports from other European nations such as France, Norway, Denmark, and Sweden echo the same troubling theme; Tesla’s sales have dropped considerably across the continent.
While there was a slight uptick in Spain, where deliveries showed a 7% increase compared to January, the overall picture remains bleak. Year-to-date figures show that Tesla’s sales in Spain are still down 44% compared to 2024, highlighting erosion in consumer demand.
Analysts suggest that the decline in sales is not merely a transitional phase linked to the rollout of the Model Y. Despite expectations that demand would remain stable during this changeover, sales for the Model 3 have also seen significant declines—down 40% in Germany and an alarming 60% in France.
Such figures indicate that Tesla’s issues in these markets are more profound than a temporary adjustment period for new models.
Globally, this decline is part of a concerning trend as Tesla reported its first annual sales drop in a decade last year, and early indicators suggest that 2025 may worsen if current patterns persist.
While UK sales improved by 7% in February after an 18% decline in January, the net effect of decreased sales in key European markets could spell trouble ahead for the electric car pioneer.
