The 2025 Honda Prologue has become the best-selling non-Tesla electric SUV in the United States by the end of 2024, reaching second place overall in the electric SUV category, surpassed only by the Tesla Model Y.
This success is partly due to the improvements that Honda has introduced in its 2025 model, which now has a driving range of up to 500 km, an increase of 30 km over the 2024 model.
Despite significant advancements, the price of the Prologue 2025 remains competitive at $47,400. However, when applying the federal tax credit of $7,500, the starting price drops to just $39,900 for the single motor model. Honda has designed the Prologue 2025 in three versions: EX, Touring, and Elite, each offering very well-equipped features.
An SUV with 220 HP of power and a lot of range
The single-engine versions now have a power of 220 hp, an increase of 8 hp compared to the previous model, and 243 lb-ft of torque. Meanwhile, the AWD models improve to 300 hp and 355 lb-ft of torque, while the estimated range by the EPA for the AWD EX and Touring models has increased to 500 km. The Elite model also features a small increase of 20 km, reaching a total of 520 km.
Honda is also improving the charging experience, offering charging rates of up to 150 kW. Their 85 kWh battery can add around 150 km of range in just 10 minutes.
In addition, the company includes a charging package that allows owners to choose between a free level 2 charger or public charging credits, which increases convenience for users.
With the arrival of the 2025 models, Honda is also reducing the prices of the 2024 Prologue. The financing and leasing options are very attractive, making it easier for those interested in acquiring this electric SUV to make a decision.
