Steven Ogg, known for his portrayal of Trevor in Grand Theft Auto 5, has denied the rumors suggesting that he hates both the game and the character he represents. In a recent appearance on the podcast Inside of You, Ogg addressed this issue, clarifying that the perception of his aversion towards Trevor stems from a misunderstanding. According to the actor, some of his comments about being called by his character’s name were misinterpreted and turned into the narrative that he would hate being associated with Trevor.
Ah shit, here we go again!
Despite his notable participation in the most successful game to date, Ogg admits that he has never had a great interest in video games. In the conversation, the actor mentioned that, although he has been involved in a global phenomenon like GTA 5, he hasn’t played many video games, although he recalls enjoying classics like Donkey Kong in his youth.
Regarding his future in the franchise, Ogg confirmed that he will not be present in Grand Theft Auto 6, although he makes it clear that he has nothing against Rockstar Games or the series itself. This is relevant considering that GTA 6 is one of the most anticipated games of the year, although the company has not yet revealed an official release date or a second trailer.
According to a former animator of GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, there are indications that GTA 6 could be fully playable at this moment, which has generated even more anticipation among fans. As the expectation continues to grow, Ogg remains neutral about the future developments of the saga, considering that the fan community and its legacy will remain intact without his participation. Although without him, it won’t be the same.
