Due to a court order, Apple must allow the entry of stores that are not their own on their devices, they decided a few weeks ago to open the door to putting emulators in the iOS Store. This has led to a constant arrival of new emulators since then. But until now, the emulator that everyone was waiting for had not arrived. The most famous emulator in the world.

Retroarch, one of the best and most complete emulators on the market, has been released on the Apple store. Available for iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS, this represents a radical change for the state of emulation on mobile phones. Because Retroarch is not like the other emulators.

It is not because, in fact, it could be said that Retroarch is not an emulator itself. It is a front-end that allows us to download different modules, which serve to emulate different consoles and computers from the past. Consoles like the NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Nintendo DS, PlayStation 1, or even more peculiar cuts like Atari computers or various arcade boards, are supported. Which means that, with a single program, we can play different consoles.

That’s why Retroarch is extremely popular. It allows us to have all our emulators in one place, making it easier for us to customize our experience than if we need to use many different emulators. If we are the kind of people who jump from console to console. As Windows and Mac users, as well as all kinds of portable consoles, have already been able to verify, Retroarch is a must-have for any retro gaming enthusiast.
