The launch of Battlefield 6 is rapidly approaching, scheduled for October 10, with the promise of revitalizing the iconic shooter franchise. Fans who have had the opportunity to play the open betas have expressed renewed optimism, suggesting that the title could mark a triumphant return for the series. EA and Battlefield Studios have worked hard over the past few years to overcome the obstacles they face, especially the issue of hackers affecting the gaming experience.
The hardware, its great secret
A priority focus for EA is the implementation of a sophisticated anti-cheat system known as Javelin, specifically designed for the PC version, where a significant number of cheaters are concentrated. However, concerns are not limited to this platform; there are also devices on consoles, such as Cronus Zen, that can hide macros and scripts, providing unfair advantages in multiplayer matches. To address these issues, Ripple Effect, one of the studios responsible for Battlefield 6, is collaborating with PlayStation and Microsoft to improve hardware detection and add its own macro detection system, an effort that is considered crucial to maintaining the competitive integrity of the game.
From a technical standpoint, Battlefield 6 will offer two game modes on PS5 and Xbox Series X, allowing players to choose between prioritizing resolution or performance, an aspect that takes into account the capabilities of each console. Regarding the Xbox Series S, the game has been optimized to meet its unique specifications. Design decisions have resulted in expansive maps, which dispel concerns about the scale of the game, as it has been confirmed that they will provide a robust and wide experience.
