Marvel Studios has put all its hopes this year on Deadpool 3. Beyond the surprising success of X-Men 97′, after last year’s failures, the studio has put a halt on its productions, and in 2024 we will only see this movie in the superhero universe. The hype, however, couldn’t be higher, especially because Deadpool will be accompanied on his journey by none other than Wolverine.
Deadpool and Wolverine, which is the official title of the movie, will not be like the rest of the films starring Ryan Reynolds. At least, that’s how Shawn Levy, the director of the movie, sells it. The filmmaker has spoken with Screen Rant about how he sees the film, and it is quite clear that his perspective is somewhat different.
An adventure with four hands
“I felt privileged to make the story of Deadpool and Wolverine because we are talking about two of the most important movie stars in their most iconic roles,” explains the filmmaker. “In addition, it gave me an opportunity. It is the third Deadpool movie, but it is not Deadpool 3. It is something different. And it does not try to copy anything from the first two movies. They were incredible, but this is a four-handed adventure.”
