It’s a rumor, but it’s based on evidence, as we have seen on Reddit. If the predictions come true, the first major expansion of Elden Ring would arrive in 2024. But this clashes with the information we had until now.

Despite the lack of official information from From Software, it seems that the Elden Ring expansion: Shadow of the Erdtree would be released in February, according to a recent discovery.

According to information from the Gaming Leaks and Rumors subreddit, manufacturer Thrustmaster is about to release a new limited edition controller based on the popular From Software game as part of a collaboration with Bandai Namco, according to a found document on the online retailer Data Blitz’s website.

An expansion that we have been eagerly waiting for a year

What makes this document extremely interesting is the mention of the release of the controller along with the “Shadow of the Erdtree” expansion, which will coincide with the anniversary of the base game.

And it doesn’t end there, as there is the possibility of another DLC expansion in 2025, or another “important keybeat”, as the leaked presentation also shows controller designs based on Malenia and Ranni.

Although all of this could be an elaborate deception, there are many possibilities that everything is real, since the leaked images detailing the controls and their launch window have been quickly removed. Furthermore, every time they are re-uploaded, they quickly fall down.

However, we have to take everything with caution and skepticism, as what we know is that the DLC still has a long way to go, although the work is progressing satisfactorily.

Elden Ring is available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One worldwide. So, if you haven’t played it, give it a chance.
