Anime is currently in one of its best moments. Thanks to platforms like Netflix or Amazon Prime Video, more and better series from Japan are being exported, although there is one platform that surpasses the rest thanks to its enormous catalog: Crunchyroll.

In Crunchyroll we can find One Piece, Attack on Titan, Black Clover, Naruto or Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. But beyond the most mainstream animes, there are others that surprise us from time to time. This has been the case with The Apothecary Diaries (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto), a series that premiered in October 2023 and has become a great success. In fact, it has been the highest rated on the platform, with 5 stars based on the rating of over 100,000 people, and now they have just given us great news.

When will the new season of The Apothecary Diaries premiere?

The latest success of Crunchyroll has just confirmed that it will have a second season. After the initial 24 episodes, the series will continue with the story of the manga —which continues to be a bestseller in Japan— and will arrive in the near future. It is expected that this new season will last between 20 and 24 more chapters, just like the first one, and will cover a similar duration to what we have already seen.

Although a definitive release date has not yet been set, the first teaser has already suggested that the next episodes will be released in 2025. Considering that the first season has just concluded, we could be optimistic and expect the second installment to be released in the spring of that year. However, it is likely that more details and a more precise release window will be revealed in the coming months.
