The upcoming iPhone 17 family is generating great anticipation among users and specialized critics, as details about its features emerge.
It is expected that all models, including the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Plus, will feature displays that incorporate 1-120 Hz variable refresh rate technology, known as ProMotion.
This advancement, previously reserved for Apple’s Pro models, promises to bring a higher level of visual experience to a broader audience.
This is what we know about the iPhone 17
According to information provided by the leaker Setsuna Digital, all models of the iPhone 17 series would use Samsung M14 OLED panels, which are compatible with these adjustable refresh rates.
However, it is rumored that Apple may restrict these capabilities in the more affordable models through software, a move that could provoke criticism from consumers, who have already expressed their discontent with such marked differentiation tactics in the company’s product line.
Additionally, it is believed that the iPhone 17 series will include a new generation of connectivity chip, which would encompass improvements in WiFi and Bluetooth, just like the C1 modem that debuted with the iPhone 16e. This modem has been well received for providing better connections and, according to rumors, the new technology would allow for smoother interaction between different Apple devices.
On the other hand, the existence of an iPhone 17e model has not been confirmed, which suggests that the more affordable versions may not receive the same technological updates as their more advanced counterparts.
News about the iPhone 17 series continues to emerge, but it is likely that Apple will not reveal official information until later in the year.
