Last year, during the ceremony of The Game Awards 2023, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for PS5 was nominated for almost all the awards of the event. The curious thing is that it didn’t win any. Hence, many said that maybe it wasn’t as good of a game as they tried to sell us at its release.

But this is a fallacy. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was loved because the game is really good. The only thing is that this 2023 was a unique year where great games were released in pairs every month.

And the sequel to the Spider-Man game is very good, so much so that we recommend it to all PS5 owners. And even more now that Insomniac Games has announced the biggest update to date.

Everything that comes with the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 update

Insomniac Games has confirmed that the highly anticipated update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which will add New Game+, new suits, and much more, will be released on March 7, 2024.

In a tweet it is stated that the complete list of features will be revealed closer to the launch, but until then, we know that there will be New Game+ and more Spider-Man suits.

Initially, the developer wanted to release the patch for PS5 before the end of last year, but it was delayed until early 2024 to “carry out more tests”. Now, we know that there is exactly one month left.

In the past, other features were mentioned, such as the ability to change the time of day, the option to repeat missions, and the customization of earring color, although this confirmation tweet doesn’t mention any of that. It is expected that they will be revealed in the full list of features closer to the launch.

Unfortunately, some Spider-Man fans got too angry about the wait and started insulting Insomniac Games on the Internet.

This led to statements from team members like James Stevenson, who stated that the studio is “working to get things to you as quickly as possible.” Less than a week later, we have our answer.
