In 2023, it will go down in history as one of the best years in the history of gaming—or perhaps even the best. However, the nominees for the 2023 Game of the Year were more or less clear, with only a few doubts lingering among the six chosen titles. We were almost certain that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, and Baldur’s Gate 3 would be nominated. And so it has been. The question remained as to who would fill the other two positions… and now we have them: Resident Evil 4 Remake and Alan Wake 2.
