Fallout 76 has taken a significant step with its new Ghoul Within update, which introduces a series of features and rewards related to ghouls in the game. This update allows players to become a ghoul for the first time in the series, granting them immunity to diseases and mutations, as well as taking advantage of the new benefits that come from their state, known as gherk.
An update for those who can’t help but go feral
One of the most notable features of the update is the introduction of the new Feral meter, which replaces the old hunger and thirst statistics. Players can now benefit from upgrades if they keep this meter full, while there is also a fun incentive to let it drop to zero, adding a new dynamic to the game. Additionally, adjustments have been made to improve the damage of pistols and add effects to various perk cards, such as Barbarian, which offers damage resistance based on strength.
The update also provides a level 50 boost for those who wish to directly access the end content, which is related to a new ghoul mission. It is worth mentioning that these changes come alongside bug fixes and necessary adjustments to keep the game balanced and entertaining.
Since its launch, Fallout 76 received mixed reviews, and it is encouraging to see that the title continues to evolve with constant updates. Currently, players can purchase the game on Steam for just 9.99 euros, with an attractive 75% discount. This is an ideal time for both new players and veterans of the series to explore the post-apocalyptic world of Appalachia while waiting for the second season of its television adaptation.
