The first Spider-Man trilogy from Marvel Studios was a huge success and led to a small break to reorganize ideas and create new stories for Tom Holland. Although it was evident that a fourth installment was going to be filmed, since the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021, we have not had any news about it. Until now.
As Comicbook assures, it is expected that the next installment of Spider-Man starring Tom Holland will begin filming at some point in 2024; probably between September and October. But for now, no further information has been revealed… not even its possible director.
Justin Lin, director of Spider-Man 4?
The media reports that the chosen director for the film will be Justin Lin, whom fans of blockbusters know well for being the director of many of the Fast & Furious movies. It is clear that he is not the filmmaker dreamed of by Spider-Man fans, but he has worked with big budgets and made many box office hits, and Sony usually looks little beyond that.
