Rocket League is getting ready to dive into the Star Wars universe with an exciting event that will take place from May 2 to May 16. This new event, which coincides with the Star Wars season in Fortnite, introduces a limited mode called Car Wars, which promises dynamic and challenging gameplay by replacing the usual goal with a thermal escape port, similar to that of the iconic Death Star.
A new way that promises to change the game substantially
The new Car Wars mode will make use of the Spike Rush mutator, which will allow players to keep the ball “stuck” to their car for a few seconds, making it easier to maneuver towards the goal. In addition, the event will also bring back the G-Force Frenzy mode, a 3v3 competition where players will have unlimited and enhanced boost, intensifying the action on the field.
Players will have the opportunity to complete various missions that will unlock a series of free cosmetics, including Empire wheels and a Stormtrooper-themed decal for the popular Octane car. Existing car packs that incorporate new Star Wars decals will also be available in the store, such as the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, which will feature designs inspired by Darth Vader, Darth Maul, and Captain Phasma.
The Dominus GT bundle will be offered for 800 credits, while users will be able to acquire the Death Star-themed goal explosion for 2000 credits. In addition, other cosmetic items will be offered, such as a red lightsaber boost for 400 credits and Death Star wheels for 700 credits. With this event, Rocket League not only attracts video game fans but also enthusiasts of the legendary Star Wars universe.
