This Skyrim mod aims to make the vampire Serana feel truly coherent

The mod author emphasizes that a being who has spent millennia in a coffin should not look fresh and youthful. “The idea is to create a more immersive gaming experience,” says Hellgeist, who has worked to give Serana a deteriorated appearance that reflects the hardships of her existence over the centuries. The changes include withered skin and tattered clothing, as well as a new voice tone that is deeper and more demonic, symbolizing her experience of prolonged hunger.

This approach does not seek to make Serana lose her appeal, but rather to foster empathy for her tragic story, emphasizing how her family’s actions have affected her condition. “This terrible state should not make her any less pleasant,” adds Hellgeist, inviting players to listen to her story and consider helping her.

One of the interesting features of this mod is the option to toggle between the modified version of Serana and the original, providing greater control over the gaming experience. This allows players to customize their adventure according to their preferences, whether opting for the more realistic representation or the aesthetic that many have come to love.
