For the most ardent fans of the bitten apple company, September is synonymous with iPhone. The moments leading up to any Apple launch are filled with rumors, and one of them is already pointing to next year. It is likely that by 2025, we will see a completely new model: the iPhone Air.
This supposed iPhone Air would be an extremely thin version of the iPhone we already know, which currently has a thickness of 7.8 mm. But well, we already know that for Apple, the thinner, the better (the new iPad is a great example of this). However, its extreme thinness could also cause the more “Pro” features to be left behind.
Its features would be very similar to those of the iPhone 17, including the same processor (possibly an A19?) and 8 GB of RAM. As for its screen, it would integrate a 6.65-inch OLED panel, with an adaptive refresh rate of 120 Hz. Being so thin, we would only have one lens in the camera, supposedly.
Would its size affect the battery? As it is logical, thin devices usually include smaller batteries due to lack of space. It wouldn’t be strange to find out that the iPhone Air had shorter screen times.
In case the rumors were true, in 2025 we would find the following line of iPhones: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. And yes, there is no trace of the Plus. The iPhone Air would be Apple’s bet to replace the Plus, one of the least successful among the public.
