Starting April 30, Fortnite fans will be able to enjoy the arrival of the Winter Soldier and the White Widow in the game’s store, thus expanding the already vast repertoire of Marvel skins. These characters, highly anticipated by fans, offer a new cel-shaded style reminiscent of the skins of Deadpool and Wolverine released last summer.
Winter Soldier, the alias of Bucky Barnes, and White Widow, also known as Yelena Belova, bring a fresh touch to the game, where players will have the opportunity to earn the White Widow skin for free. To do this, they must demonstrate their skill in the Thunderbolts Cup, a duo tournament in build mode, where the best competitors from each region will receive this exclusive outfit.
Two skins that come with rewards
In addition to the skins, players will be able to obtain various rewards, including exclusive wraps for both characters. Each skin will come with a set of cosmetics: Winter Soldier will feature a back bling, an axe, and a wrap, as well as an emote integrated into his axe, which will allow it to be summoned even if it is not equipped. White Widow will have a similar set, with her own back bling, axe, wrap, and standalone emote.
With the inclusion of these characters, Winter Soldier and White Widow become the 98th and 99th additions to the Marvel skin catalog in Fortnite. The last addition was an Iron Man skin in February. Since the Star Wars season will begin next month, it is rumored that there will be no more Marvel characters in the game until the release of the Fantastic Four movie in July.
