Politics and cinema have never gotten along very well, and a recent example of this is Civil War. Despite Alex Garland’s masterpiece portraying a war between different factions of the United States, the director has been accused of not taking a political stance in representing this near dystopia. And apparently, things wouldn’t have improved if he had.
According to Variety, the influence of politics on the marketing campaigns of major films is growing. Therefore, it is not surprising that things are becoming even more intense during the elections in the United States. This year, the elections will take place on November 5, 2024, and many movies are being affected by them.
Venom 3 is coming sooner!
The latest to announce something about it is Venom 3: The Last Dance. The film was going to be released on November 8th, but due to the proximity to the elections, it has been moved up to October 25th. Interestingly, no other blockbuster will appear until November 22nd, when Gladiator 2 and Wicked will be released. No one wants to coincide with a political campaign.
