We already have Robin and Crocodile: the two most anticipated roles in the live-action of One Piece are confirmed

One Piece fans couldn’t be more excited for the second season of the Netflix live-action, and they (we) have plenty of reasons. After confirming that all the first arcs of the Grand Line and even the Drum arc would be covered, we know that Crocodile will have to wait a bit longer to fully face Luffy. However, the renowned anime villain will already appear in this second season… and he won’t come alone.

Netflix has just confirmed the actor for Crocodile and Robin, the seventh nakama of the Straw Hat crew who starts as a villain. The actors who will portray them are not only well-known but also seem to have been born strictly for these roles: Joe Manganiello will be Crocodile, and Lera Abova will be Robin—or, as they are currently known, Mr. 0 and Miss All Sunday.

Joe Manganiello and Lera Abova: the new Crocodile and Robin

Joe Manganiello is a very prominent Hollywood actor who has appeared in movies like Magic Mike, Spider-Man (the one by Sam Raimi), and Rampage. Additionally, he made a cameo in the post-credit scene of Justice League as Deathstroke, a role he was set to play in Zack Snyder’s DC Universe.

Lera Abova, on the other hand, is a 31-year-old Russian actress and model who is somewhat less known but has an impeccable acting career. Physically, she seems to be the spitting image of Robin, as was the case with the other nakamas of Luffy’s crew. Without a doubt, everything seems to indicate that she will look fabulous alongside her companions.

Although there is still no release date for the second season of One Piece, filming is underway, and everything seems to indicate that we will see it at some point in 2025. Additionally, there are rumors that it is being filmed alongside the third season, so the next batches of episodes could arrive more frequently than the first.
