Undoubtedly, the Super Bowl halftime show is one of the best showcases to display some of the biggest movie premieres of the year. In addition to Deadpool 3, viewers were able to get a glimpse of what Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes will be, the movie that will lead the new trilogy of the franchise.
The apes return once again in what will be their fifth film since the reboot released in 2011, Rise of the Planet of the Apes. The trailer, which you can see below, features actors such as Freya Allan (Ciri in The Witcher), Owen Teague (IT), Kevin Durand (Locke & Key, Lost), William H. Marcy (Shameless), and Peter Macon (Shameless).
The kingdom of the planet of the apes takes place almost three hundred years after the reign of Caesar. Now, the apes are the dominant species, while humans are persecuted and hunted. Under the shadow of the tyrannical leader Proximus, a young ape embarks on an adventure that will make him question all his beliefs.
Fortunately, we won’t have to wait too long to see it in theaters. The next May 10th of this year will be the worldwide release of War for the Planet of the Apes.
