Lately, Netflix is announcing many new releases and the return of series we had almost forgotten existed. The creators of Wednesday, Al Gough and Miles Millar, have shared a brief teaser for season 2 of the popular series. With just five seconds of content, the clip shows a chilling reunion between Wednesday Addams, played by Jenna Ortega, and her nemesis, Tyler, played by Hunter Doohan. Although a specific release date has not been revealed, the new episodes are expected to arrive sometime in 2025.

The advancement has generated renewed enthusiasm among fans, as the creators promote a darker and more complex season, an evolution that promises to delve into the mysteries of the teenage detective from the iconic Addams family. However, Gough and Millar have remained enigmatic regarding the details of the new plot, joking about the possible consequences of revealing too much: if we tell you, Wednesday would kill us.
Among the most notable novelties of this upcoming season is the inclusion of notable actors in the cast. Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor join a cast that already includes names like Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán. This expansion of the cast suggests an intensification of the plot and the development of new characters in the Wednesday universe.
Wednesday has not only been well received by critics, but it has also established itself as one of the most-watched series in Netflix history, surpassing the premiere record until the arrival of Squid Game 2, which achieved 68 million views in its first four days, compared to Wednesday’s 50.1 million. As fans await more news about the next installment, the mystery and intrigue only seem to grow.
