Netflix has taken a big step in its film catalog with the acquisition of the rights to Knives Out 2 and 3, in a deal that amounts to approximately 450 million dollars. The third installment, titled in Spanish Knives Out: The Lazarus Mystery, is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2025, maintaining the excitement that has characterized this modern mystery saga.

The director and screenwriter Rian Johnson returns for this sequel, where Daniel Craig will reprise his iconic role as detective Benoit Blanc. Johnson has confirmed that he already has the plot ready, which will revolve around a new murder, although the connections with the previous films will be subtle and no spoilers will be offered. In his words, the challenge is “to discover how it can be completely different from this sequel and the first one”.
