EA Sports FC 24 is already among us. After bidding farewell to FIFA forever, Electronic Arts‘ soccer video game comes packed with novelties, with the Nintendo Switch version being the one that presents the most significant changes by far. Why? Well, we’re going to explain it to you in this article, don’t worry.

In previous years, the FIFA series had a Legacy edition on Nintendo Switch. This meant that the games didn’t have gameplay differences; essentially, the only updates were the team rosters each year, and that was it. In summary, the game remained the same, except for team updates. It was that simple.

However, with EA Sports FC 24, the entire technical component is genuinely modified. To begin with, the game switches to the Frostbite engine, so the technology from the past is no longer repeated. Additionally, the capabilities of the Nintendo Switch are utilized, which, while not on par with current consoles, perform quite well in the video game.

Thanks to El Analista de Bits, we were able to see a comparison between FIFA 23 and EA Sports FC 24 on Nintendo Switch. In terms of performance, both games are capped at 30 frames per second, but where the real improvement is noticeable is in the visuals. There are more animations, the player models are better, the lighting undergoes a significant change, and much more. The resolution is 1080p when connected to the television, while in handheld mode, it is 720p.

It’s worth noting that the popular content creator has also released a video comparing the Switch version with PS4 and PS4. The Nintendo Switch handheld edition holds up quite well, it must be said.
