Fortnite: Battle Royale features one huge map that hosts matches of 100 players at a time. The massive size of the map allows battle after battle to still feel fresh even though they’re taking place on the same map. Another bonus of fighting on the same map, again and again, is that players can learn where key places on the map are and then use that knowledge game after game. Today we’re going to show you some rather important locations on the Fortnite: Battle Royale map, the locations of the spawn points of Fortnite’s brand new vending machines.
Vending machines are a new feature that allows players to input some raw materials they’ve gathered in exchange for a random piece of loot. This loot could come in the shape of some devastating firepower or life-saving chug jugs. Either way, being able to swap your wood, stone, and metal for random loot is extremely useful. Thanks to the guys over at orcz.com, we’re able to bring you a map of known vending machine locations.
This map may not contain every single vending machine, but at the time of writing, it was up to date. Vending machines have a similar spawn mechanic to chests, which means they always spawn around the same spots but will not spawn in every game. Vending machines will randomly select a rarity, and then items sold will match that rarity. Thanks to Fortnite Intel for this breakdown of the vending machine price list and how to use them:
“Vending Machine Price List
- Items found in a Common (white) version will cost 100 materials.
- Items found in a Uncommon (green) version will cost 200 materials.
- Items found in a Rare (blue) version will cost 300 materials.
- Items found in a Epic (purple) version will cost 400 materials.
- Items found in a Legendary (gold) version will cost 500 materials.
Each Vending Machine will sell three items, one for each material type (Wood, Stone, Metal).
It will cycle through each of the three items on a short timer. To switch items faster, hit the Vending Machine with your Pickaxe.
There is no purchase limit to the items available.”
