The DC Comics audiovisual world is undergoing a complete change. With James Gunn and Peter Safran at the helm, Warner’s plan is to end everything they had done so far with Zack Snyder and create a new universe of films. So far, ten projects have been announced, and Superman: Legacy will be the first of them.

However, not everything could be completely changed. Beyond the characters from The Suicide Squad that Gunn may want to keep, it is likely that Gal Gadot will remain as Wonder Woman. This is something that has surprised many, and yet, it is news that has come from the actress herself.

“Let’s develop Wonder Woman 3 together”

During an interview with Comic Book while promoting the Netflix film, Agent Stone, Gadot was asked about her relationship with Wonder Woman, and her words quickly ignited the fans’ imagination:

“I love playing Wonder Woman. She’s very close and dear to my heart. From what I’ve heard from James (Gunn) and Peter (Safran), we are going to develop Wonder Woman 3 together.”

As you read it, according to Gadot herself, Wonder Woman 3 will arrive at some point, and apparently, she will be the protagonist. After the disappointment of Wonder Woman 1984, few expected this news, but perhaps Gunn will give Patty Jenkins another chance as the director.

While we wait to see what happens with Wonder Woman, for now, we can look forward to the new DC Studios projects starting from 2025, beginning with Superman: Legacy and continuing, curiously, with a series akin to Game of Thrones set in the homeland of the Amazons.
