Wuthering Waves was launched last year as the Genshin Impact killer. While it is true that this game by Kuro Games has not managed to eliminate its competition, that does not mean it has not succeeded in carving out an important market niche. With much more emphasis on combat and more attention to the design of scenarios, it may not have as vast and seemingly infinite an open world, but it has more solid and interesting mechanics. Something that will be expanded with its new version.
In just over a week, Wuthering Waves will receive its version 1.3 of the game. This new version will include a new area, named the Black Shores, which has been long anticipated within the game. Divided into two sections, the upper part of this archipelago is shrouded in a thick fog and the dangers that lurk within it. In the lower part, in the Depths of Tethys, you will have to venture into the sinister depths and muster courage in a place driven by torture and a bloody history. But where hope can be reborn.
All of this will be accompanied, of course, by new mechanics. For example, Portal Puzzles will allow you to teleport between different areas of the region, and new resonators and echoes will be introduced with this latest version of the game.
If you are interested in delving into this new, dark, and melancholic region of Wuthering Waves, you will first need to overcome the trials of Mount Firmament. If you have already done so, you will have to wait until September 28, when this new version of the game will be released on consoles and PC, as well as on mobile devices in the App Store on Apple and on Google Play on Android. And if you haven’t done so yet, you still have a few days to complete these trials and prove yourself worthy of the Black Shores.
