The legal battle between the FTC and Microsoft over the purchase of Activision Blizzard continues to generate major headlines due to leaks from the FTC itself. In fact, the latest leak could be one of the biggest Xbox has ever experienced, as a significant number of video games currently in development have been leaked, along with mention of a new console and the vague intention to acquire Nintendo.

The first thing to note is that the leaked document refers to a presentation made by Microsoft in July 2020. As a result, many of the games mentioned in the slides have already been released or have had their release dates changed. However, what’s truly interesting is to see all the games we knew nothing about.

To start, the document mentions that a remaster of Oblivion is in development for the fiscal year 2022. Obviously, this date will not be met, but it is currently in development. Additionally, they are also working on a remaster of Fallout 3, a sequel to Ghostwire: Tokyo, and Dishonored 3, all slated for the fiscal year 2024. This should also be added to a game called Doom Year Zero, which was supposed to have been released in 2023, with downloadable content planned for 2024.

This lineup of games in development doesn’t stop there; there’s much more. For example, there’s a Project Kestrel that we know nothing about, a project that was supposed to launch this year (impossible now) with an expansion planned for 2024. Additionally, there’s Project Platinum (for 2023, another unfulfilled one) and a “licensed IP game” (for 2024).

Although it might seem like the latter refers to Indiana Jones, the reality is that it doesn’t, as Indiana Jones is listed in the document for 2022. As you can see, the dates have not been met, just like Starfield or Redfall for 2021. Nevertheless, we reiterate that the interesting aspect is the number of developments we’ve learned about.
