Science fiction has become the genre par excellence of Apple TV+. In the midst of a war in which the genre has resurfaced with strength with productions like The Three-Body Problem (Netflix), Halo (SkyShowtime), Fallout (Amazon Prime Video) or From (HBO Max), Tim Cook’s streaming platform continues to rise as the best option in this regard.

In Apple TV+ we find series like Foundation, Constellation, Separation, Silo, Monarch or For All Mankind. All of them are top-notch fictions that have an enviable quality compared to the rest of the platforms. However, there is one that has gone somewhat unnoticed and is well worth it: See.

Starring Jason Momoa, See already has three seasons and a total of 24 episodes. But, if its protagonist is not enough to make you watch it uncontrollably, just take a look at who is the showrunner of the series: Steven Knight. That’s right, the creator of Peaky Blinders is the mastermind behind this series, so you can already imagine where it’s going.

But, in case you are not yet on board with Apple TV+ and have doubts about See, we leave you below with several arguments to fully convince you to watch it.

Jason Momoa in a state of grace

See transports us to a dystopian future where humanity has completely lost the sense of sight. In this world, society has adapted to live in darkness, relying on other senses to survive. With this unique premise, we have an intriguing backdrop to explore themes such as survival, family, and the struggle for power. In this way, the series immerses us in a desolate yet beautiful landscape, where nature and brutality coexist in harmony.

As we mentioned, leading the cast of See is Jason Momoa, who plays Baba Voss, a fierce leader of a tribe in this sightless world. As usual, Momoa captivates with his imposing presence and his ability to convey a wide range of emotions through gestures and expressions. Learning as much as possible from the Dothraki Khal Drogo he portrayed in Game of Thrones, Momoa manages to squeeze the most out of his acting skills even without his sight.

But beyond Momoa’s sublime performance, which hypnotizes you from the first minute, the supporting cast shines equally, with outstanding performances by actors and actresses such as Alfre Woodard, Sylvia Hoeks, and Hera Hilmar. Without a doubt, they manage to give credibility to a series that is already captivating in itself.

Interestingly, despite the challenge of portraying a world without vision, the creators of See have managed to create a visually stunning experience. From the desert landscapes to the lush forests, each scene is meticulously designed to immerse the viewer in this post-apocalyptic world. Furthermore, by playing with blindness, the directors allow for innovative cinematography, combined with cutting-edge visual effects, that provides a fully immersive experience.

However, See is much more than a conventional science fiction series; it is an epic journey filled with unexpected twists and thrilling moments. As the plot unfolds, we witness political intrigues, epic battles, and shocking revelations that keep the viewer on the edge of their seat in every episode. The masterfully crafted narrative and complex characters ensure that every moment is meaningful and keeps our interest at all times.

There is no doubt that Apple TV+ knows what it’s doing, and with three seasons already produced, See has become one of the most interesting proposals on the streaming platform. It’s clear that Momoa is giving the best performance of his career, and this is just the fifth part of a show full of iconic moments.
