Those of us who grew up in the 2000s know that the Spears family not only gave us Britney as a major star of the time but also had another young diva who became an icon of the era: Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney’s younger sister is an actress who once starred in Zoey 101, a series that became a phenomenon of the time alongside others like H2O or Lizzie McGuire. And now… she’s back.

Zoey 101 aired on Nickelodeon for four seasons, and now it’s making a comeback with the same cast 15 years later. It returns in Zoey 102, a movie that will be released on the international platform Paramount+ on July 27th. In Spain, we will likely be able to watch it on SkyShowtime. Here is the trailer:

Quinn and Logan’s wedding

In the trailer, we can see the reunion of the old friends from Pacific Coast Academy, this time dealing with romantic and professional challenges that bring them closer to adulthood, a life none of them seems eager to embrace. The movie will maintain a similar tone to the series, with even more comedic elements.

This time, the plot revolves around the wedding between Quinn and Logan, where Zoey is invited as the maid of honor by her best friend. However, this reunion will bring her face to face with Chase (Sean Flynn), her former high school boyfriend, and they will demonstrate that not everything is over between them.

Zoey will embark on a fake relationship to prove that she hasn’t been as unlucky in love as everyone believes… but as we have seen in countless instances, the situation will soon backfire on her. It may not be the most original plot, but it certainly serves as a good excuse to bring back the original cast of the series.
