Mac (10000 programs)
Pros: Excellent voice performance by Cary Elwes. Affectionate spoof of RPG cliches. Detailed summoning system. Satisfyingly long main quest.
Cons: Dated graphics. Challenging mobile control system. Limited character customization. Can be hard to read on smaller screens.
Pros: Pioneering 3D characters blended with hand-drawn backgrounds. Fixed camera framing creates sustained cinematic tension. Weight-based inventory forces meaningful item choices. Includes the "Jack in the Dark" bonus for added replay.
Cons: Directional, older-style controls require an adjustment period. Canonical digital release lists Windows only, complicating Mac access. Progression depends heavily on note-taking and backtracking.
Pros: Solid graphics and interface. Reasonably authentic. Good for learning the game. Runs well on most devices.
Cons: Limited gameplay options. No way to tweak rates. Jacks or better only. Largely mouse-only.
Pros: Gives you more control over your screen settings. Toggle feature for gamma settings.
Cons: Options don't extend far enough for high resolutions and wide screens.
Pros: Very easy to use. Easy to organise files. Suitable for all project types. Small yet stable.
Cons: Not possible to enlarge the font size. Rather dull interface. Not many customisable features. No support for iCloud.
