Cons: Only useful for people using Microsoft Office 2008. Not vital for the security of the Microsoft Office software.

Cons: Doesn’t display objects’ shadows. Prone to crashing.
Pros: Brings Office on Mac up-to-date. Looks much more attractive. Easier to use and find functions. Collaborative and productivity focused tools. More functions in Excel and PowerPoint.

Pros: Complete suite. Splash screen intuitive. Compatible with Microsoft Office.
Cons: Few noteworthy innovations. Slow to start apps.
Pros: Free to use. Opens Microsoft Office documents including Word and Excel. Includes a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation manager, and drawing program. Good alternative to Microsoft Office.
Cons: Slow at opening documents and can be unresponsive sometimes. Too many buttons and settings. Based mainly on Java.
Pros: Much better OS X integration. Integration with SkyDrive and SharePoint. Lots of new and interesting templates. Collaboration possible via Office Web Apps. Outlook is now included (previously Entourage). Ribbon and Spotlight integration.
Cons: No Mac version of OneNote. Home and Student don't include Outlook. Outlook doesn't sync with iPhones. Only includes main components of Office.
