Cons: Free version provides only single document scanning support. Struggles with smaller font sizes. Tends to transpose letters i and j. User interface appears not to have been updated for Retina displays, resulting in blurry interface at higher resolutions.

Pros: Block online distractions. Specify websites to block. Set timer when will the blocking lasts. An open source application.

Cons: Other applications may bypass the blocking. Websites remain blocked even the application is deleted. Has single, simplistic functionality.

Pros: Good selection of editing tools. Smooth and quick document rendering. Can be used by both novices and power users. Compatible with multiple operating systems.

Cons: Symbols may be difficult to read. No graphing functions are provided. Not compatible with 32-bit processors. Some feel that the user interface could be slightly improved.
