I know what it means, not that there being indie games on Steam is a problem, but that there aren't any and that's a problem. It's just that it's not. There was Steam Greenlight, now Steam Direct, and that is the solution. Though I'm not fond of its $100 submission fee. Steam Greenlight was better. However, I digress. The cool part of indie games is how unique each game is and how the storylines and aspects are so divers, and a game where you get to explore monuments and such from someones imagination are really cool. I highly recommend this game!"

"My brother and I have always been avid gamers and zombie fanatics. So naturally we are always looking for good zombie games beside the big industry ones to check out. We have tried dozens of different indie zombie games that are alright, but honestly they get boring pretty quick. But our love for zombies will not allow us to give up, because we know that zombie gold is out there. And oh boy did we find one of the craziest, most chaotic, yet hilariously whacky zombie games we have ever played. Nature's Zombie Apocalypse is an all-out war to save the world from zombies. But get this... the zombies aren't fighting the human population. No, they're fighting far more beastly creatures than us. They are fighting the whole animal kingdom lol! Ever see a sloth headshot a zombie?? It's hilariously fun. What will a grizzly bear do when a zombie chases him down a street? He will turn around and take out his gun and shoot him right in the head! Overall Nature's Zombie Apocalypse is an amazingly hilarious and fun game for everyone. I think that all zombie fans should check it."

"This is a really stupid game, and I mean that in the best way. It's so silly, and absurd, but it's fun. It's an indie game all about zoo animals with weapons fighting off the zombie hoards. It's creative, I'll give it that. I just kind of feel like the game is a bit repetitive and easy. Maybe it's just because it's an Early Access game, so it's unfinished and has a ways to go. But even so, it's kind of on the short side, and I don't know if I really want to replay it again. Once was enough, I guess. It's definitely fun, and hopefully it'll get better once it's finished. There's a good game in there somewhere, but it's just so rough around the edges right now. Even so, this is the kind of indie stuff I want to see more of on Steam, and less overused pixel art retro-throwback games."

You get your choice of weapons and you go into overhead battle. I really enjoyed this because I play this in multiplayer with a group of my friends and it's just laughs and a good time killer. Don't expect any ground breaking game play but expect a small targeted hidden gem that will definitely be addictive. I sometimes want to get away from the current games today so I suggest this to my buddies and we throw this on to get some laughs and just blast zombies away throughout the cities maps. One of the best smaller games out there."

I really do reccomend this game though. It's incredibly fun but as with all early access games Awesome game!! Played it two player with my brother using our Xbox one remotes. We liked the choice of characters and weapons avaliable, still got a lot to unlock. It's cool having the choice to play as all the characters but it would be funner if you got to unlock them and earnt new special moves with button combinations as you progressed as i think it would be more addittive."

You can just jump in an play. The art style is fun and reminds me of console games in the early 00's. The whole premise of the game is absurd in the best way possible, and really makes it hard to feel any rage when you're not doing so well. The gameplay is very well balanced, being neither too hard nor a cake walk. I recommend playing it with 4 players. This is a game I always want to share with my friends when they come over!"

This game is still in Early Access and has been for 2 years, but that seems to be, more and more, a thing for indie games. The one thing I HATE about this game is the overhead view - I hate that on all games that have it - but other than that, it’s not a bad little game. It’s fun to play an animal instead of a human, killing zombies, while storks fly overhead with first aid kits. It’s a lot of fun and I recommend it, especially with friends."

"Love animals and zombies both? I do - and so this is a totally fantastic game for post-apocalyptic fun! I've been playing it for a couple years now, and it's silly, over-the-top, and always makes me laugh. Animals running around with guns in the city? Elephants with swords? Bears with freeze-rays? It's all here - and though it's not the most in-depth game ever by any means, it's one I go back to again and again when I want to laugh and have a good time playing for a little while here and there. One to check out when you're feeling light-hearted and in the mood for a good time."

"Let me open this by saying that I'm not a zombie person. While all my friends and colleagues tune in weekly to The Walking Dead, I'm like, "eh." Nature's Zombie Apocalypse takes a place in that the strange hybrid genre of "zombie comedy," like Zombieland or Shaun of the Dead. The premise is that animals are the only "good guys" left, and so it's up to the bears, elephants and ducks to save the world from zombie takeover. If you enjoy the sight of a duck blowing the head off a zombie with a machine gun, this game may be for you. It turned out that I loved it."

"Nature's Zombie Apocalypse is a bit of a strange game. Visually it's ugly and almost nightmarish, but the gameplay is actually really enjoyable. It's definetly attempting to cash in on the Zombie craze the industy is currently experiencing, difference is most of those games are half baked. This one however seems to be taking a different approach and is going for the comedy element of horror. It's another game in Early Access and has been in that state for almost 3 years, but if you're looking for something play with a friend, this is a good pick."

"This is one of those games that when I first saw the description I couldn't help but read it again to make sure I hadn't gone insane. Yes you actually play as animals wielding deadly weapons against zombies. I will admit the gameplay isn't amazing but it's one of those dumb ridiculous games you throw in every once in a while just for the sheer goofiness of it. It kind of falls into that weird realm of games like Tokyo Jungle or Goat Simulator. It's nothing you'll really keep coming back to but good for the occasional grin when you do play it."

"Northguard is an indie strategy game that is still in development. It uses a lot of Viking mythology for it's gameplay that is both interesting and compelling. The same is fun to play and you can easily spend hours on it."
