It's aggressive and unforgiving which is expected for a survival game but it can sometimes be too much and steer some players away. Regardless, if you're for a challenge and you're okay with the game's excessive trash-talking and antagonizing player's, you're in for quite a brutal ride."

It has been around since 2013 and is very positively reviewed. The graphics don't look great to me but that is not at all uncommon for indie games. I would say this game does fit the topic."

DID YOU KNOW?

The earliest form of games were all indie games, in essence? That is because the video game industry did not exist yet back then. There is no exact definition of what an indie game is. We can make some inference based on the current state of mainstream games though. It is not unusual for many companies to get involved in the production and distribution of a new game. One company could be in charge of game design. Another, for the production of it and another yet to distribute it in the market. Based on these facts, we can then make some key observations and comparisons with indie games. Indie games will involve a much smaller group of people. From the development to marketing and distribution, it will all fall under 1 or 2 companies.

The Internet became widespread since its introduction. As a result, video game distributors that leverage its convenience and reach appeared. One prime example of this kind of distribution platform is Steam. Steam is home to some of the best indie games ever in the market. It's become so ubiquitous that most of the popular games in the past decade are also available there. Indie game developers have proven that they can make some incredible quality games. It's anybody's game nowadays and a company's name no longer matters as much anymore. Quality is the name of the game and whoever makes the best will get all recognition.

There was Steam Greenlight, now Steam Direct, and that is the solution. Though I'm not fond of its $100 submission fee. Steam Greenlight was better. However, I digress. "Super Motherload is an indie game that is available for purchase on Steam. Couch co-op is such a rare things nowadays, so it's great that this game has it. I love that the world changes every time I play. It has longevity in the ability to be replayed and never get stale. If you're into digging games, this is a must-have."

"Super Motherload is a game you're gonna want to skip. Not only does the storyline suck unless you're super into the Russian Cold War stuff. the gameplay couldn't be more repetitive if it tried. Unless you're looking to bore yourself, I'd avoid this one."

"Slayaway Camp is an Indie game in the vein of Slayaway Camp and other 80's teen slasher flicks. We all remember the movies with the stereotypical teens and an ax wielding murderer sneaking around the camp. A popular game and a blast to play."

"I was looking into cool new indie games on Steam to play and came across Kairo. The cool part of indie games is how unique each game is and how the storylines and aspects are so divers, and a game where you get to explore monuments and such from someones imagination are really cool. I highly recommend this game!"

"This game is really fun, it makes me lose track of time while playing. The puzzles are interesting to think about and complete, and it is fun to explore the world. And the reviews are positive, it's an older game now, but it is still really fun for me."
