DID YOU KNOW?
Did you know that Fifty Shades Freed and Fifty Shades Darker were filmed at the same time in locations Vancouver and France even though they were released in different years? Both of the succeeding films of the Fifty Shades trilogy are directed by James Foley and made around 300 million US dollars in the box office. Although the second movie Fifty Shades Darker gained more in the box office, Fifty Shades Freed was still able to draw in audiences despite its mostly mixed to negative reviews from film critics.
Another interesting fact to mention about the whole Fifty Shades film trilogy is that despite the movie having a predominantly heterosexual female following, lead actor Jamie Dornan has zero scenes all throughout the movies wherein he shows explicit parts of his body and he even revealed that they used a pouch to cover his junk. On a similar note, even though Dornan and Johnson starred in three films together, Dakota Johnson admitted that filming the sex scenes was always difficult to do. Johnson further shares that the hardest scene to film came from the third and last installment of the Fifty Shades films, particularly during the Red Room scene. The actress shared that they both had a sex advisor to guide them through the steamy scenes.
