Best apps for veterinarians

This could be among the best apps for veterinarians. I definitely find it useful when I am doing blood tests. It has all the reference data I need.

If you love animals and interested in how animals are taken care of i would recommend this app. My cat had constipation and i went on here and looked up the cause and cure and it worked like a charm. It saved me close to $300 trip to the vet. More

This app has very few downloads and users showing. That being said there are not a lot of Vet apps available and they generally cost money and are not free. More

I became a vet last year and even though I retain a lot of knowledge, every once in a while I need to look up something I am stumped on. I downloaded Target vet and I love it. It is really simple to use, I am able to look up issues by symptom, and thats really helpful. My only complaint is that it is only available for IOS and not for my android devices More

TARGET (Vet) is probably the best and most useful app for veterinarians. It provides a great reference tool you can use when treating microbial infections in small animals. The best thing is it always available since it is on your mobile device. More

VetPDA Calcs could be one of the best apps for veterinarians if the calculators that's in the app worked half the time. I would try to determine a value using one the calculators and it just freezes until I restart the app. More

The tech at my vet's office swears by this app. She says it's easy to use and helps her calculate fluid rates and pain scores for dogs. She says the vet uses it for drug calculations and showed me information on something called the Glasgow pain score. I also saw that it had some quick conversion tables from metric to standard. More

I used to work in an exotic pet and bird clinic, and having something that will quickly calculate measurements is fantastic. Some measurements are easy to remember when converting, such as kg to lbs, but not everything. It's good to have a reliable calculator so that there's no mistake when prescribing a medication. More

DVM Calc is a great little tool if you are a veterinarians. I use this constantly in my practice. It does everything you can imagine. It helps calculate dosages using a bunch of different calculators for different situations. A great program that I would recommend to any up and coming or old veterinarians. More

Available through iTunes, this app is pointed towards veterinarians, but is rated at only 2.5 stars, which causes one to assume that there are problems or inadequacies associated with the compendium, which, incidentally, is published by Bayer HealthCare for Animal Health. The problems may involve too many crashes of the app, which the updated version 2.5.1 is supposed to have addressed. More

I really like CVP Vet for the iphone. There are so many different medications and products out there for animals. As a veterinarian it's nice to have a quick reference guide that I can have with me at all times. More

KwikVet for Vet Professionals is a game changer for Veterinarians. I've started using it a couple of months ago. I just turn it on the app when I want to make extra money making house calls nearby. I didn't need to change my schedule or leave my job. Registration is free and easy and they pay me every Thursday. Scheduling yourself to work is as easy as turning on the app. Great company!

This app is perfect if you have a growing puppy and are not sure how much to feed him. I found it to be a little glitchy but figured it out. You may find weighing that pup to be the hardest thing. More
