Monkey Island is and adventure video game with Pirates, and Gemini Rue is more of a Sci-fi, cyber punk game. I always loved Monkey Island as a child so I was looking for some fresh new adventure games to get into, and Lucius was right up my alley. It's honestly a bit tough to tell that it's from an independent developer -- it's just as polished as any major studio release. Graphics are not only well designed but excellently themed. The pacing is superb, and it doesn't have many confusing moments at all, despite boasting a very complex world. A+, would recommend. More

Beautifully hand crafted hey, with a very imaginative story line. not going to lie though the puzzles take a minute and require the use of your brain. They are logic based, not sequence or repetitive I made the mistake of underestimating some of the puzzles. To the Moon is a great story filled game. I liked the graphics and it was an emotional story. Monkey Island is a different sort of game and not one that I would compare this game with. To the Moon is a must-play.

It's much darker and much more realistic than the jaunty humor you would find in a monkey island game. That said, the graphics style is great.
