Flipboard is wonderful and pleasant on an iPhone or an iPad. Translated to Apple Watch though it falls way short. The same great content but in a much more difficult to consume package.

I don't know if I would keep a news app. Social media seems better.

The best news app for Apple watch is subjective I suppose. CNN is a nationally known news corporation and it is a decent app. But for me not the best, because I find their reporting too liberal, to each their own I guess.

Great app by itself but when I click on the notification, it never takes me to the story that was in the notification. So basically notifications don't work well...

The New York Times App is not an app I use that much. It works fine with my Apple watch most of the time. Sometimes an article I was reading doesn't sync and I have to find where I left off. It could be better. More

This is a neat news site that is formatted for the watch. I don't know how much i would use it though. It seems annoying to have to read on something that small. More

I am not a fan of WaPo, mainly because they have a huge bias, but if you're looking for a news app for your Apple Watch, this does the job. There are other apps that you can download that have no bias, and just give you the facts. This app ain't for me, but it does do what it says it does. More

Nuzzel provides customized "newsletter" type feeds that are generally worth reading. However, it is not clear if this app is still compatible with the Apple Watch. I have heard conflicting reports. Needless to say, you should check the compatibility of the app before putting a lot of time and effort into customizing it. More

Nuzzel is average at best on it's own. Add in that it costs more than it should and this is an app I'd avoid. It doesn't offer anything at all over it's competitors, and most of those are free or a fraction of this cost. More

I go to BuzzFeed for my daily dose of news. The articles are interesting and keep my interest. So, when I want news for upcoming updates on the Apple Watch, I go straight to BuzzFeed to see what they have to say about it. More

BuzzFeed is not news. It's literally cancer. Stop reading the site and get help if you were exposed to its words.

Digg is a news reader app that is available on iOS. I will work on your phone or watch. The site is popular and well reviewed but the app is seriously lacking. It only averages 1.5 stars out of 5 on the current version. There are definitely better news apps out there and available. This doesn't fit the topic. More

Digg is a fantastic news app worth a glance over. It's free and offers a large compilation of the top headlines in news today. It allows you to sort via categories and check out articles that may be of interest to you. More
