This would be a good RTS game on Steam for someone that wants a game with both single and multi-player options. It also has a Metacritic score of 80, which means 4 out of 5 game critics thought the game was good, so it will be enjoyed by most people. Any Square Enix game for me autogets a 5 start perfect rating for me. This game totally set the bar for me when it comes to RTS games. even the ground feels realistic and doesnt have much content that would require you to suspend your disbelief More

Age of Empires is the king of RTS games. They defined the genre with AoE II and continued to do so with AoE III. It has some of the same feels as the iconic AoE II, with a lot of new stuff to play with. The Stronghold Crusader game itself is solid, but the version on Steam? A mess from when I've used it. Flickering with no fixes despite many reporting the problem. If you're playing it elsewhere, then it's fine, but on Steam? You'll want to look elsewhere. More

The release date of this game, 2015, is considered to be very early in the gaming. I have not played this game before but it looks decent enough. Real Time Strategy Games is a huge market in the gaming industry, and there are already well known games to be selected as the best such as StarCraft, Warcraft even Age of Empires. Putting down dozens of troops to storm over a Homeworld is one of my greatest joys in life. The scale of the fights in this game is insane. Orbital slingshots allow you to expand the scope of your army to entire solar systems, and yet, taking down opponents ends up being based on actual strategy instead of just troop spam. I came up on Civ, so I was used to resource management being more important than actual combat, and while it's important, it's great to play a game that kind of frees you up to manipulate the battlefield like a true general and take on people bigger than you. More

For an RTS game, this one has a bit of a different feel. If you are familiar with other games, it may seem odd at first, and difficult to deal with, but once you get into into it makes for a good experience. Basically, a key twist here is that you are focusing on battles from a vantage point that is very broad, and organizing armies that spread across the map. You feel sort of like a demigod, directing your minions as they smash your enemies, but when things get out of control, you also feel scope of the disaster. To get the most from this you've got to develop an intuitive feel for how to manage your hordes. More

Being a gamer I have played my fair share of PC games. Battlefleet Gothic: Armada is a solid game. I love being able to customize my ships including picking my crew. This way I have complete control of how my ship is set up and hopefully this helps me win the game. I also like that just like in real life as my crew becomes more experienced in battle they receive promotions and their experience helps me fight more efficiently. It's a fun game that I enjoy. More

This game was particularly enjoyable for me, someone who enjoys strategizing and military history. I found it to be quite historically accurate and its gameplay and controls allowed me fine control over the units in the game. More

Hearts of Iron III is by Paradox Interactive that takes place during World War 2. This is a great RTS game that many players including myself have enjoyed. While the DLC can get quite pricey, the base game itself is plenty enough in itself to get started and experience what the game has to offer. More

Hearts of Iron is a fantastic real time strategy game. It's set in WWII, which makes it incredibly interesting. The UI has a lot to offer.

I was looking for a good RTS game on Steam, and unfortunately Halo:Spartan Assault wasn't it. At first glance, it looks like an RTS, with it's top down view and small unit graphics, but it's actually a top down shooter! I love me some RTS games, but I have no idea why this one is listed as such. Hello devs, it's a shooter? Top down shooter in fact. Who listed this as an RTS? This is definitely the worst RTS ever made if it can even be considered one. Bleh! More
