Best sniper games on steam

Good, classic fun when you are in the mood to shoot German soldiers from WW2. The game is a little short - I would have played more and was actually surprised to reach the end so soon. But it works. Not my favorite game because I don't find the screenplay very creative, but it does what it says it will do - fair enough. I'd give more points for the realistic and satisfying shooting interface that makes you feel like you're actual a good shot. Less points for the cartoonish gory explosions of blood and brains. Just not my favorite, but I know some who loooooove it. More

Fun game alone, great with a friend. Using long range weaponry is fun in this game, and the automatic rifle's are also quite fun to. In a small room you just have to dump a magazine around chest height to clear it in some cases. But keep an eye on your ammunition, because you will run out at some point, and that is not fun if it is for the sniper rifle of your choice. More

I have played the previous two titles in this franchise and loved every minute of it. Its a highly detailed arcade style sniper simulation and is good for those that want to improve your sniping skills, video game speaking of course. More

Sniper Elite 4 is probably one of Steam's better sniper or tactical shooter games. It really compels you to take your time and think about what you are doing, and is considerably more realistic than the average game of this type. One downside is that the single player can be a bit short, but is also kind of repetitive at the same time, which is not terribly surprising, when you consider the role you play in the game. That said, I'd definitely recommend it to those looking for a more thoughtful shooter instead of the overly fast pace, overwhelming "bullet hell" experience of many modern FPS games (though the game is not necessarily an FPS). More

Sniper Elite series has been the lead in sniping experiences. It has was one of the first games to have slow motion and internal damage kill shots. Its also a great price on steam. More

This is a pretty good game. Although, I was wondering about accuracy and aiming of the time period vs the game's set up.

I love playing this game with my boyfriend and his friends! Sometimes tho, I like going at it alone as a sniper. It's still enjoyable even if you're playing alone because the sniping mechanics is amazing!

The best way to play ARMA 3 is with other people, friends, strangers or that guy down the street. Form a squad and take clear towns of insurgents. Or you could team up with one other person to go on a sniping mission. Either the other person or you are the spotter or vise versa, and you have a good experience. This is a really fun game to test how well you work with others. More

Looking at how far the series has come, I am still impressed by how gritty and realistic even the first Sniper: Ghost Warrior was. Ithas such a high replay value and I can't help but go back to it even after two more games have been released in the series. I also don't think you'll find better sniper mechanics than this game. 100% Recommend!

In my playthrough's, I've found the game buggy and clunky. Cannot crouch walk up stair's decently, or go to a better place to shoot your target from. Very linear and you have to go to each checkpoint for the game to say "Oh, hey. We can move forward now." The sniping is really good in this game, but it get's interrupted by "run and gun" a few times, which could have been fine, if it were not for the recoil and the lack of a cover system. You get shot at, move behind a wall, but don't move to close to it or you'll lift your weapon up so you can't shoot at your target when emerging again. More

The mechanics in this game are rather bothersome. The story line is boring and it doesn't always register your kills. You can't skip the dialog even if you've heard it before. Just THINKING about playing this game gives me a headache. Don't let my suffering be in vain. Skip this one. More

This game does what the title says. You are a Sniper, you use stealth to your advantage, much more than in the first title. It is still a bit clunky, but not to a bothersome degree. More

Sniper Ghost Warrior lived up to my expectations and provides the ultimate FPS game. Available for Windows XP-7 with two Ghz cpu power or better it will run on nearly any machine. More
