Spend your time leveling up
While it’s true that Dead Island 2 doesn’t have a very aggressive level system, it does have its own complications when it comes to tackling its world. And we explain. While the “normal” infected are easy to defeat and won’t take you long, with the bosses things change a bit, since you’ll notice the difference.
In this particular case, the recommendation we can give you is as easy as spending some time leveling up, both doing main stories and, above all, the secondary ones. We know that the latter can be somewhat tedious, boring and repetitive, but in the long run they can give you many benefits to better face the “final bosses”.
Choose a build to suit your style
Dead Island 2 has a total of 6 different characters, each one more varied. This means that your way of facing the game can be completely different from mine, as each character has its own characteristics and, most important of all, the integration with the skills.
The configuration of skills can be one of the biggest headaches of the game, since it offers hundreds of possibilities. To this end, Dead Island 2 divides everything into four fields: dexterity skills, survival skills, assassination skills and numen skills. There are several to consider within each field (in fact, several are equipped, not just one), but we recommend the following for the beginning:
- Dexterity: jumping kick. It leaves no room for doubt, right? When you are jumping you can kick a zombie. That easy. It is perfect to get rid of many.
- Survival: better to be safe. With this ability we recover health every time we block or dodge. It is a perfect card if you have good game management, as it will allow you to get life by playing “well”.
- Assassination: relentless. This ability allows attacking zombies that are weakened, but without the option of execution. It does more damage.
- Numen: corpse flower. These abilities are secret and are not so easy to obtain. This one in particular causes any creature affected by an elemental state to explode. Boom.
The cooperative is not available at startup
More than one will have started Dead Island 2 and will be wondering where is the cooperative. Let’s see, it has a certain trick, since to play in cooperative it is necessary to overcome the first three missions of the game; of the main story, to be exact.
As a curiosity, the fourth mission is called “Calling the cavalry“, a statement of intent of what is to come. From here, the cooperative will be available, either to join a game or to invite a colleague to yours.
Closed rooms, very important
