Let's hope it doesn't suffer the same fate as the original Hindenburg.

Although many may know this story, it doesn’t hurt to refresh it. In May 1937, the German airship LZ 129 Hindenburg caught fire as it approached New Jersey to land. The accident was widely publicized at the time and marked the end of airships as a means of transportation. Now, a player has decided to recreate this story within Microsoft Flight Simulator.

In March, Red Wing Simulations released its LZ 129 airship for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Over the past two days, a Reddit user who goes by the username The Zeppelin Girl has been attempting to recreate in real-time its famous journey from Frankfurt to the United States. The flight was expected to last around 30 hours, but due to weather conditions and other technical difficulties, it seems it will end up being around 50 hours.

If you are interested in following her journey, you just have to go to the website Volanta. Just like in real life with Flight Radar, you will be able to track The Zeppelin Girl’s trip at all times.
