I was singing, but it’s finally official. Red Queen, the series based on the books by writer Juan Gómez-Jurado, has just been renewed for a second season on Amazon Prime Video. When the streaming platform announced the series, many knew it was going to be a great success, as it is one of the most important best sellers in Spain in recent years. And so it has been: less than a month after its premiere, the second season has been confirmed.

Just like with books, the second season will be called Black Wolf, and it will adapt the second novel starring Antonia Scott and Jon Gutiérrez. Vicky Luengo and Hovik Keuchkerian will once again take on the roles of the two main investigators, but this time they will face a much more difficult case to solve.

A new case for Antonia Scott

“We are delighted to see that Red Queen has captivated the Spanish audience and has become a resounding success,” announced Amazon Prime Video. “Antonia and Jon have captivated the global Prime Video audience with their chemistry and ability to solve crimes, and we are eager to start production on the sequel to this exciting story and continue building the universe that Juan Gómez-Jurado has created,” they conclude.
