The story that moved us all
In the movie, the contrast between Bruno’s privileged life and the harsh realities that his friend Shmuel faces on the other side of the fence is masterfully portrayed, thanks to the performances of Asa Butterfield as Bruno and Jack Scanlon as Shmuel. Additionally, Vera Farmiga and David Thewlis bring strength to the story as Bruno’s parents, showcasing the internal conflict and ideological blindness that characterized many German families during the Nazi regime. Without a doubt, it is a great movie that is worth watching at least once.
