Coming off the success of the ever-growing online battle royale genre, Apex Legends has been a smash hit for EA Games.

China banned the game due to “blood, gore, and vulgar content.”
Fortnite’s “Save the World” mode has some gore in it. If you’re listening to other players online, you’re likely to hear some vulgar content. Basically, China isn’t wrong about the content. Whether or not the game should be banned altogether is another debate.
PUBG was also recently banned in China, but there are plans to release a new game that is China-friendly. This new PUBG game, called “Game for Peace,” will also glorify the Chinese military.
Apex Legends has similar features, so it will be interesting to see what EA does in order to get the game released in China. Until then, we will enjoy getting on the battlefield here in the States.
