Tim Cook announces a stock buyback program worth $110 billion

This quarter marked by the arrival of Apple Vision Pro, the new device that introduces the concept of spatial computing, reports remarkable figures in the field of services.

Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, highlighted that a historic record has been reached in this sector, showcasing Apple’s strategy towards revenue diversification. However, the availability of Apple Vision Pro has been limited to the United States since its launch, although it is expected to expand to more markets in 2024.

Apple’s CFO, Luca Maestri, emphasized the high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty, which have driven an increase in the installed base of devices, reaching a record high. To strengthen its market position, Apple’s Board has authorized a $110 billion share repurchase program, in addition to increasing the quarterly dividend for the twelfth consecutive year.

Apple will hold a earnings conference today at 2 p.m. Pacific Time, where Cook and Maestri are expected to share additional details about the results and answer questions from analysts. Attention will also focus on possible announcements of future products, in line with the promise of an exciting developers conference next month.
