Apple has released its financial results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2024, revealing revenues of $90.75 billion, which represents a decrease of 4.31% compared to the same period last year.
Analysts had anticipated revenues around $90.33 billion. Likewise, the company reported a net income of $23.64 billion, a decrease of 2.15%.
In the same quarter of last year, Apple had reported revenues of $94.8 billion, benefiting from approximately $5 billion derived from “pent-up demand” due to Covid-19 restrictions.

This quarter marked by the arrival of Apple Vision Pro, the new device that introduces the concept of spatial computing, reports remarkable figures in the field of services.
Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, highlighted that a historic record has been reached in this sector, showcasing Apple’s strategy towards revenue diversification. However, the availability of Apple Vision Pro has been limited to the United States since its launch, although it is expected to expand to more markets in 2024.
Apple’s CFO, Luca Maestri, emphasized the high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty, which have driven an increase in the installed base of devices, reaching a record high. To strengthen its market position, Apple’s Board has authorized a $110 billion share repurchase program, in addition to increasing the quarterly dividend for the twelfth consecutive year.
