Christian Bale has been the best Batman in decades. The trilogy he starred in alongside director Christopher Nolan took him to the heights of Hollywood popularity. And this has not been the only superhero role he has taken on, as he was also the villain Gorr in Thor: Love and Thunder. However, the actor may soon jump from the world of superheroes to that of lightsabers, as he would love to have a role in Star Wars.

During an interview for The Hollywood Reporter, the American Psycho actor was asked about what role he would like to play in George Lucas’ franchise. And his answer was quite curious, as it’s not what any other actor who grew up watching lightsaber battles between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader… or is it?

“All I’ve ever wanted to do in Star Wars is put on a suit and bang my head against a door”

“All I’ve ever wanted to do in Star Wars is put on a suit and bang my head against a door or something while walking. The true nerds who have seen Star Wars too many times always know that scene where the stormtrooper hits his head on the door while passing by. I wanted to be that guy. That’s it,” Bale says.

However, he doesn’t stop there, and makes it very clear that the saga has meant as much to him as it has to many others: “But look, if I’m lucky enough to be more than that, yes. It would be a great pleasure. I still have the figures from when I was little. I also know Kathy Kennedy very well because I was working with Spielberg when I did Empire of the Sun, and now she runs the Star Wars universe.”

Could Kathy Kennedy end up integrating Christian Bale into the Star Wars universe? Who knows. Certainly, the actor would not lack projects, since Disney continues to release new spin-offs of the saga that continue to expand its universe.
